Summary
As a passionate gamer i had an idea of starting a twitch stream. After a bit of research i found out that many gaming companies use animals as mascots. In this case a personal touch was needed so I connected my portrait image with a gaming keyboard with vibrant colors and it tourned out great!
Research & Analysis
Research was based on looking around internet, mostly instagram and pinterest to find gaming logos with human faces or masks. A lot of color inspiration was born in that session.
Sketching and first ideas
Because this logo was personal, I started with a picture of myself. Rough sketches of the face plus a mechanical keyboard outline at start, and later adding a bit of color and shadow.
More research and idea hunt
At this point I was looking for final ideas regarding colors, shadows and overall look and feel. I had in mind a future development of that twitch channel and merch, so the logo should look great on tshirts too.
Sketches to vector
I started with basic shapes and solid colors, then worked on details. Every mascot logo that i reviewed had sharp edges, especially in hair and beard area so I was refining that part the most.
Final result
And there you go, couple of weeks later I have my new gaming logo.
